Nowadays and mainly in private institutions of health, the treatment of patients had become like a form of "comic theater":

1. The patient that has just entered to the clinic is checked by the doctor that immediately makes him feel as if he was the most serious case in the world, almost moribund.

2. The patient gets scared, he worries and from now on will say “YES” to everything, signing vouchers and checks as a mechanism of survival.

3. In the next act, continues a series of studies that will leave the patient without a cent, so at the end, the doctor tells him that he didn't have anything or that it was something that could be solved with a traditional “grandmother's remedy”.

4. In the remote case that the patient has some serious suffering, the doctors will open his interior to check if their suspicions were correct, but as this is not generally diagnosed right, they will finish cutting the appendix or making anything unnecessary to justify the whole expensive theater that had to be mounted.

5. Also, it is necessary to mention the hundreds of cases where a patient is amputated from some healthy member instead of the sick part. Everyday histories like this are heard in all the hospitals around the world.

6. En public healt systems happens the lack of attention, limitations on the budget and almost the final result is the same, the patience must invest money in medicines that will not always be the best to improve health.

The precepts seem to be:

A. The better treated patient, is the one that has more money; and
B. The patient is treated while still has money.

This way, we all have witnessed how hospitals have impoverished entire families when the members put determination in the desire of helping a beloved relative.

This becomes a food chain composed by doctors, hospitals and laboratories, but the small fish that fattens the rest will always be us, the patients.

All this represents an abuse to the trust, the good faith and the ignorance of the average person. This system won't change at least during a good time, because the economic interests are too strong at private and public level, since the governments find it convenient to have these powerful tax payers: Medical institutions and insurance companies.

The saddest thing of all is to accept that the medicine of the year 2000 is not very different to that from the 1950 and the reason is quite simple, the economic wealth that has been generated from the creation of the systems of health in the middle of the XX century, has continued generating today and it has been perfected with time, leaning on the media, that are more effective and modernized. That is to say, that we are in the 21st century, with technology of the 21st century, but always using the same methods, forms and system.

Actual scientific advances are remarkable, from the genetics up to the subatomic technology, but their application in the practical medicine takes a lot of time and the process becomes slow. Meanwhile the illnesses evolve or are discovered and the sufferings that formerly were considered serious, after a while they no longer are and they open the gate to new illnesses.

For that reason, in our company we have been devoted to innovate in a real way in the field of the treatment of illnesses, moving away from the traditional practices and returning to the patient the attention and the respect he deserves.
